Load Proving Ring

Load Proving Ring is an instrument used for measuring the load or force applied to materials during various tests and experiments. It consists of a ring-shaped device with a built-in strain gauge that can accurately measure the force exerted on the materials.  The purpose of a Load Proving Ring is to provide precise and reliable measurements of the load applied to materials samples during compaction, shear strength, and bearing capacity tests. By accurately measuring the applied load, engineers and researchers can assess the behavior and mechanical properties of materials under different conditions, helping in the design and analysis of foundations, retaining structures, and other soil-based engineering projects.

All load-proving rings offer a consistently high order of accuracy and repeatability. Clamped boss proving available in the range of 1 kN to 100 kN. These proving are calibrated in accordance with BS 1610 and issued with a calibration certificate. The repeatability is within ± 0.2% of the indicated load. The proving ring can be fitted for marshall, CBR UU, and unconfined test. Supplied with in-house calibration certificate & carry case.

Test Procedure for Load Proving Ring

1. Preparation: Set up the testing apparatus according to the specific requirements of the experiment or application.
